CONSCIENCE: A POEM BY EMMALIZER
CONSCIENCE
A POEM BY EMMALIZER
Conscience were leaned on the wall,
Dry-cleaned from grits,
Who threw their conscience away?
Consciously, our conscience were sealed,
Conscience once reverend
Now, it's in plaques,
In seating and standing,
We gave warm hugs to the plaques,
In living, we left the hardest currency,
And settled for the world's less,
Scary, speaking on cold fear,
Our backs are awaiting whips,
See no evil in the devil,
He is just bold and old,
He only harms with his arms,
He is a pirate who stole our conscience,
He can't kill anymore,
The keys to our conscience is tied to his waist,
Don't blame the lame man,
Only be courageous in your handiness,
Who will return our conscience?
We once cherished as vital.
