EPISODE 12: EZOMO OF BINI'S PLACE

It was still early, the first sets of peasant have started going to the farms, when Ilio Idia arrive at the Ezomo's compound.

"My queen, that didn't leave for shame to overtake. May the king live long, what have brought you to my house." The Ezomo finally came out from one of  the mudhouse, shirtless.


The compound was well swept, and most of the servants were out fetching water or something else.

"Ezomo the hand of the king. The justice of the king. They say it is what we do for each other that we use to remember each other. I have come to discuss few things with you," the Queen said, a piece of cloth covering her mouth, muffling the words.

"My queen what troubles you?"

"The last meeting held in the palace on succession, words got to me that you seem to be friendly to Idubor at the expense of my son."

"Queen Idia, I don't want to discuss the matter deliberated on in the throne room outside. Let me go bring kola for you."

One of the servants, a nubile maiden walked pass with a pot of water on her head.

"Wait, don't trouble yourself. I will be leaving." The queen got up and the maidservant, and the guard that escorted her here followed.

"Understand this Ezomo, it is actually in your best interest to put hand in the back of Prince Osawe. See it as a restitution for sins concerning your servant Esohe."

The queen was sure chilly goosebumps poured on him.
